Drug Uses

Pletаl reduces attacks of intermittent claudication (pain, cramping, numbness, or weakness in the foot, hip, thigh, or buttocks) that may occur after walking.

How to use

Use Pletаl as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.

Take Pletаl by mouth at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after eating.
Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while you take Pletаl .
The effects of Pletаl are not immediate. Although you may experience the benefits of Pletаl 2 to 4 weeks after beginning treatment, treatment for up to 12 weeks may be necessary before Pletаl takes effect.

Drug Class and Mechanism

Pletаl is a phosphodiesterase type 3 inhibitor. Pletаl works by widening arteries that supply blood to the legs and it also decreases the ability of platelets (particles in the blood involved in blood clotting) to stick together.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Pletаl take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your health care provider. Do not take 2 doses at once. If more than one dose is missed, contact your health care provider or phаrmаcist.

Storage

Store at the room temperature away from moisture and sunlight. Keep out of the reach of children.
