Drug Uses
Myаmbutol is used to cure TB infections of the lung. It works by stopping the growth of TB cells. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Usage
The best way to take Myаmbutol is as directed by your doctor. However, avoid taking antаcids that contain aluminum hydroxide for at least 3 to 4 hours after taking the drug. You may take it with or without food.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of Myаmbutol then take it as soon as you remember. But adjust the remaining doses in the day by spacing them out 5 to 6 hours apart.
Storage
Store it at room temperature away from heat, light and moisture. Keep it out of the reach of children.
Overdose
As with most other medications, a Myаmbutol overdose is dangerous. Seek medical attention immediately if you suspect an overdose.
